Help Tuning Bayan (Opposite problem) Dec 02, 2002 03:06 a.m.

I have the opposite problem of michelebow. I just purchased a new tabla set, and the bayan is tuned a lot higher than it should be. There are no pegs in the straps at all. Any suggestions???

Put a warm blanket, electric blanket, for 5 min, then use your palm and press down and put pressure till you get a desireable sound
