Does anyone know about tabla players or teachers in puerto rico?

Put ad's in indian restaraunts or Indian food stores etc . if there are any . I find There are usually some kind of tabla player s in the indian community that can teach you the basics

I lived in PR 10 yrs. ago.I had a conga teacher who turned me on to the tabla.I've played them ever since.Although I know of no teacher there,I live 40 miles W of there in St.Thomas. So if you're ever in the neighborhood,you can look me up. jayka@viaccess.net

Try to contact Peter Barriera at Percussion Center PO Box 1341,
Ponce, PR 00733-1341. If anyone teaches tabla there, he would
know. And pick up one of his great wooden bongos, while you're
in the neighborhood.
