We certainly have many clients, but unfortunately not enough to make it a full time activity yet.
I have been working on SwarShala single-handed since 96, and I have invested in it most of my time, energy and savings. You can't do less than that if you want the software to be of a good quality.
We are now a whole team working on the next version, so that it reaches the highest standards of quality. But this certainly doesn't go free.
Crackers and adepts of the free-software paradigm do not realize that they are jeopardizing such specific software developments by cutting into the means of financing them.
I am always open to discounts and even to free licenses (many users out there have benefited from that), but I reasonably expect this to be motivated by the clients' financial difficulties to purchase the software.
Anyway, feel free to expose your case directly to me at info@swarsystems.com. I don't think this is really the place to discuss such issues.
I cannot give free licenses to all the Tabla forum users! I hope you understand.
If you really have problems to pay the full or even a discounted price, email me at sales@swarsystems.com and let me know about your background, the way you plan to use the software and what you would be able to pay for it.
I can then evaluate such queries and this could lead to a discounted or even free license. I count on your honesty to give me a clear picture of your situation, and assure you that whatever proceeds we receive from our clients are invested in developing improved and better products.
